Several pairs of Gucci shoes with a retail value in the hundreds of dollars were stolen during a recent residential break and enter. The incident took place sometime between 1 am and 1 pm on Sunday June 7th, at a townhouse located in the 300 block of Hillcrest Ave. Some pictures of the stolen shoes were obtained.
The homeowner told police he and his roommates were asleep during the break in and had forgotten to lock their door before retiring for the evening. The items taken, which also included a Gucci wallet, were situated near the door that was found open.
Investigators canvassed the nearby area and learned that an adult male was seen near the residence at approximately 6 am on the day of the break in. This individual was described as being Caucasian, 6 ft. slim build, mid 20s and wearing white sweatpants, white shoes and a white & black stripped hoodie.
Items taken were:
- Gucci shoes -white with red lip design (shown)
- Adidas Yeezy shoes- green mesh (shown)
- Yeezy shoes- brown and black
- Wallet- yellow with red/white snake embroidered design. Contents of the wallet consisted of debit and credit cards, VIU student ID and Chinese government ID card
All debit and credit cards were immediately cancelled and no fraudulent activity was reported. If anyone has information on the stolen items or the male seen near the residence, please contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
