On May 10, 2025 , members of the Central Vancouver Island Crime Stoppers attended the Open House located at the RCMP Nanaimo Detachment.
With the addition of our new tent and sandwich boards, we were able to attract many of the public to our booth to inform them of our mandate, the geographic area we cover, and how to report a tip.
We also had on display the posters of the winners in the 2025 Vancouver Island University Poster contest hosted by our Crime Stoppers group.
In the picture, we had volunteers Bruce Stevenson, Barry Clark, and Darren Marshall completing their shift from 11am to 3pm.
Swag is always a key component to attract the public and remind them of the work that we do. This included Crime Stoppers pens, bumper stickers, handcuffs, and our new brochure.
