The Nanaimo RCMP is asking the public to keep an eye out for a boat which was stolen on Thursday December 12th, 2019, from the Mud Bay Community dock on Protection Island.
The vessel is a 1976, 17 foot Boston Whaler Montauk, with serial # 13K61442. It also has a three blade stainless prop and a Mercury outboard engine. One unique feature on the vessel is a very noticeable iron cross tie down, mounted on its deck. When the vessel was stolen, it was not insured and there was no fuel in it.
